In Basingstoke on our balloon rides you may see the distinctive shape of the Milestones Museum, Hampshire’s "living history museum opened" on 1st December 2000. Funded with Lottery grants and a joint project by Hampshire County Council and Basingstoke and Deane Council it has a Victorian Railway Station, a 1930's street of shops and many historic road vehicles originally from the Thornycroft collection.
