Our balloon flight friends in Tuscany needed a bigger balloon. As our Rainbow balloon was "resting" we dusted it off and seeing 4 windy days ahead in the UK we grabbed the opportunity to take it down to Italy. With the driving shared between two pilots and a balloon inspector, we arrived 25 hours after leaving home, got all the necessary fuel tanks together and gave the balloon a test flight with some of the Italian crew and a total of four pilots in the basket! With near perfect weather for ballooning most days our Rainbow Balloon will have a lovely time this summer flying over the beautiful Tuscan countryside and providing passengers with views of olive groves, vineyards and 16th Century (or older) buildings around Florence, Siena and San Gimignano in the Chianti region of Italy.
