When Sky news wanted to use a hot air balloon as an aerial platform for photography about Britain's housing bubble of course they came to Adventure Balloons. Using a drone camera to film the take off and a helicopter in flight the following footage was shot over Surrey on an early morning hot air balloon flight with us from Shalford Park in Guildford to a landing just south of Godalming this Thursday morning.
"The flight could not have gone better, we had light winds, ideal for safely landing the large TV camera operated by Matthew Burge the Sky camera operator said Adventure Balloons Managing Director Kim Hull. Ed Conway, the Sky News economics editor managed to get a live feed to the studio and I believe it is the first live “in the air – on air” balloon flight interview Sky have transmitted".
So if you are a TV company wanting to do filming work with hot air balloons around London or the Home Counties, give us a call.
