There were some amazing co-incidences on a recent balloon flight on an autumnal evening over Oxford. Having flown over the north of Oxford, Port Meadow, spotted the ruins of Godstow Abbey, then on to Witham and Farmoor Reservoir we landed in Standlake in a small field at the back of a house. When the balloon was packed away and we met with the owner of the field we also met the son of one of the passengers who was flying in our balloon. He was visiting the landowner for the first time ever on a completely unrelated matter! But that wasn't all. The son of the landowner had seen us take off from Cutteslowe Park in Oxford and had driven home, only to find the balloon in his father's field behind the house. And then, when we gave the landowner a company mug and a bottle of wine, another passenger flying with his daughter told us we had landed on his field near Aylesbury because he had also received an identical mug when one of our balloons landed on him. That's ballooning!
