Although our main balloon rides season runs from April to October, with the unseasonal weather we have experienced over the last few years we have put some early pre season and late end of season dates on to try to box clever with the weather. Passengers who booked on to our Surrey balloon rides on Saturday 2nd March really were the early birds who caught the worm! We had a great balloon flight from our take off site at Shalford Park just south of Guildford and landed over an hour later to a very friendly reception from the locals living around the cricket pitch at Chiddingfold. At this time of the year we fly our smaller balloons and our Toucan Travel balloon which flies up to 10 passengers is ideal. With the help of the enthusiastic passengers on the flight we were able to walk the balloon whilst still inflated to the edge of the cricket pitch and after packing the balloon away we then carried the balloon and basket to the roadside edge to avoid damaging the playing surface. Other balloon operators may be restricted to larger balloons where this would not be possible and consequently cancel their early season flights because of ground conditions. With the flexibility of different sizes of balloons to suit demand and ground conditions this is less of an issue for Adventure Balloons. Here are some pictures from the flight as we flew down past Godalming and Milford.
