Valentines Weekend

The 2009 season kicked off to a great start on Valentines weekend when 6 passengers flew in our smallest 4 person balloon in glorious spring weather on Saturday 14th February. The flight was done in two legs, with 4 passengers flying for the first hour, then an "intermediate landing" on a friendly farmer for a change for passengers and more fuel while the balloon co-operated by staying patiently upright and then off for another hour. "It was just like the flying we used to do on our ballooning weekends in the West Country in the mid 1980's" said company pilot Kim Hull. We had a two person balloon in those days and had to try to fly 8 people each weekend which was challenging".

In addition to a complimentary Valentines bottle of champagne to take home each couple was also presented with a shortbread and chocolate Valentines heart from our local bakery which the guys presented on their knees!
